Christmas creep

Hooray for Nordstrom! The clothing retailer has announced they will not be participating in the 'Christmas in October, November, and December' blitz their competitors have been doing this year. And speaking of 'Christmas creep', what does it say that we now have a phrase for the early marketing blitz retailers have been subjecting us to?

Frankly, the term *Christmas creep* reminds me of the weird uncle that you only see once a year at your grandmothers leering at you from his corner of the room. Still, Nordstrom's gets my support... if only they sold things my dad would like (who, in the spirit of the holiday, informed me he would like a **shoot'em up, kill'em all** game for his system).
