Safely back and at work. I tried a new plan, pulling an all-nighter with George (it started out being an all-nighter with George and Tammy, but that went by the wayside at about three in the morning) in the assumption that, if I was simply tired enough, I could sleep on the plane. Special thanks go out to Jason for teaching me that rule, which I learned in the early days of my visit to Egypt. So Saturday morning I returned home, packed up, and drove out. I was able to fit a half hour visit to Lisa in en route to the car rental place, although I'm glad I didn't cut it too close, because I got lost looking for the place to return my car.
I did manage to sleep some on the flight, but not as much as I had hoped, so I crashed out when I got back and slept almost all of Sunday away. I went to bed at four this morning, caught three hours, and now seem to be back on schedule, in that I am tired but not dead on my feet this morning. In fact, I look like everyone else who just survived the weekend.
