Yarrr!

Yarrr! Somali Pirates seize a friggin' supertanker, for cryin' out loud! But not to worry - the BBC reminds us that the Royal Navy has lots of experience in this sort of thing.

Maybe instead of paying ransom for ships/goods and using police/military methods, governments and businesses should help with the medical/humanitarian crisis in Somalia. Yesterday, I attended a presentation from a doctor who has worked with Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres) and I'm really impressed...

Oops -- make that Medecins Sans Frontieres. (I wouldn't make mistakes like that if there was an HTML editor for the comments *grin*)

*laugh* there -is- an html editor for the comments. So the question is, why aren't you seeing it? If you view the source of the 'post a comment' page, you'll see code for TinyMCE. What browser are you using such that the comments don't appear for you?

Aha!  I knew you had mentioned it lately but hadn't seen it in action.  To answer the question -- apparently the editor doesn't like to show up in IE7.  Sadly, the web interface for our CMS doesn't work properly in Firefox/Safari, so I'm stuck using IE.  I try to use Firefox/Safari when I'm browsing at work, but sometimes I revert back to my old evil ways.

I confirm, and probably could have a while back, that comments editor does not appear with IE7... that said, and with my recent education of others on the mysteries of the FSM. Does this mean global wamrning is reversing or pirates are just getting more air time this year as part of a FSM conspiracy--a means to cover up the noodly appendage touching schools everywhere?

Actually, this is all Obama's fault: his positions on global warming taken during the election have emboldended pirates.

Or does that make him ... the son of FSM? Is this the second helping?

RAmen, all around.

Who knew there were still pirates in the Caribbean? I suppose it's not that surprising, given the state Haiti has been in recently, but still...
