mmm. Buttery death!

I am vindicated! A new report in the New York Times confirms that microwave popcorn is evil:

"When he broke open the bags, after the steam came out, he would often inhale the fragrance because he liked it so much," Dr. Rose said. "That’s heated diacetyl, which we know from the workers’ studies is the highest risk."
It's always a sign when a disease has your profession as its name (as in "popcorn workers’ lung").

I was wondering about this... Friday my dad was telling me that "They" were saying that the smell of popcorn was causing lung disease, which made no sense and I was going to go check into what he was talking about. This however, makes perfect sense. But the "They" are just as evil because I'm guessing when my folks were watching Fox News they didn't really make this very clear, and now my dad thinks he is going to get lung disease at the movie theatre... because the "They" said so, and as you know the "They" is the foremost authority on everything.

You know, most of my information on health risks comes from giant ants, and I trust them implicitly.
