Dell's customer service sucks

My spiffy new laptop arrived yesterday. Unfortunately, it will be going back. And I will never be making another purchase from Dell. Read why in my story How Dell lost my business.

I second your comment - I was once on the phone with dell for over 2 hours b/c the hd on my brand new lap top died. As in it would not boot...etc. After they finally got it through their pea brains that yes, there was somehting terribly wrong with the HD, and the mother board - I asked if I could just return it and get my $ back..I got a no, I am sorry you cannot return it, this is not a pair of jeans you bought, but send it back to us and we will fix it. After that ordeal, I swore I will never purchse a dell product, and never plan too. They suck. Coburn

Quite frankly, I'm not surprised by the scenario. I went through that with my last laptop--it wasn't a Dall, which is why I got a Dell this last time. And now that you've pondered how non-business customers would be treated, I'm not sure I even got a phone number to call... I think I was referred to online support. Which makes perfect sense if you can't get the thing to work.
