All of the tombs have some animal by the feet of the person. Here it was usually lions for kings, dogs for other people. I am informed that as time went by, the animals became more creative. For example, in another church there was a person whose crest had a porcupine, and they were thus forced to stand for eternity on a pair of porcupines.
