A not-too-expensive Italian restaurant with a quiet location near the Champs Elysee, tasty food, and entertaining staff. The little cookies that come with the after-dinner coffee are delicious!

Paris - The Blue Elephant

Thai restaurant with the most amazing interior, full of plants and waterfalls and stuff. There's also one in London.

Paris - La Crêperie de Cluny

Tasty food, cheap lunch menu, great desserts, and all within walking distance of Notre Dame.

Avignon - Cour de la Louvre
Amazing good food, in a lovely courtyard.

Avignon - Woolloomooloo Tasty food in a freaky bizarre setting, something like an old warehouse, only darker. Try the crumble (if you can say it)! Be warned that lonely planet has marked this one.

Avignon - Bistro des Arts Good food. We had the Salmon, which was very nicely prepared. Sadly everyone in the place spoke English, although I don't believe it was in the tour books.

Great Indian restaurant with a separate vegetarian kitchen. After suffering through Indian meals in France, this place was a breath of Fresh air!

Really good vegetarian options, and lots of other great food. Their dauphinoise are phenomenal, and their desserts are tasty!
