boxing day

So all the stuff arrived Monday, and in the triple digit heat was carried into the house by our friendly movers. Now the house is full of boxes. I mean, quite literally, full of boxes - we've more or less resigned several rooms to the mess. Honestly, if they hadn't delivered our furniture, if they had only arrived with our boxes, we could have built all we need out of cardboard. It's crazy.

oh, been there. We had to stack and move the boxes to form a path from the front door to the kitchen to all the bedrooms just to navigate the house (not having 5 bedrooms). Good luck, it passes quickly. After it was all over, we listed the boxes on craigslist and they were gone in about 5 minutes!

Oh interesting! Does that mean you sold the boxes? I had planned to just freecycle them. Money would certainly not go awry, though, given our current burn rate. Do you have any idea how much it costs to replace all the lightbulbs in a house this size with CFLs?

Be a lot less expensive (on the lightbulb side) if you had an IKEA nearby ;)

No, not for sale although I bet you could, but in the for free section on craigslist. We got the boxes the same way. Guess it doesn't really matter which one, it is good karma either way. As for the bulbs, we replaced all of ours (MUCH smaller house) and IKEA was our hero.
